About Mu Qing:
Mu Qing ( 慕情 to yearn for, affection) grew up in the Xianle palace, working as Xie Lian’s personal attendant and was responsible for household chores like washing clothes and dressing him. They spend so much time together, that they inevitably became friends, even though Mu Qing was scared of the label. A little while after Xie Lian’s ascension, Mu Qing followed suit and over the course of years he rises up to the position of martial god of the Southwest, and given the title “general Xuan Zhen” (玄真 enigmatic truth).
Appearance:
Mu Qing is a tall, pretty man with refined features and long, silky black hair. He has fair skin and dark eyes, often said to appear as an “elegant and gentle scholar”. The way he carries himself confuses people into thinking he is a literature god instead of a martial god, but the moment he opens his mouth, that perception shatters.
Personality:
Mu Qing throughout the novel is described as impatient, sarcastic and with a very short temper. Later in the story though, it is revealed that he’s actually a very thoughtful individual, who cares about his loved ones more than anything and would do anything for them, even if it costed him his life. His harsh exterior and soft heart is what led a huge portion of the fan base to outright adore him, making him one of the most beloved characters, even more so than the deuteragonist Hua Cheng.
