Tian Guan Ci Fu (eng title: Heaven official’s blessing) is a Chinese novel published by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu in 2017 on JJXWC. It’s MXTX’s third novel, coming right after Ren Zha Fanpai Zijiu Xitong (eng title: Scum Villain’s Self Saving System) and Mo Dao Zu Shi (eng title: Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation) and inarguably her longest one by a long shot, finishing with 244 chapters and 5 books. Seven Seas has divided the English counterpart into 8 books, 5 of which have already been released.
It is set in a XianXia (仙俠, directly translated to “immortal heroes”) setting, which is a Chinese genre of fantasy inspired by Chinese mythology, Buddhism, Taoism, Chinese martial arts and medicine. It usually describes someone who has obtained immortality through self-cultivation and the stories revolve around someone getting tangled into supernatural affairs which often include elements such as spirits, demons and monsters, ghosts, mythical creatures and gods (Heavenly officials).
