Skam is a show that aired from 2015 until 2017 in the Norwegian channel NRK. It is created, written and directed by Julie Andem. After it ended many other countries started making remakes of Skam with the most famous ones being Skam france, Druck and Skam Italia.

In general, what I want to say about skam is that it is a quite realistic depiction of being young. No one really knows what is going on and what is going to happen. Another thing that I love about Skam is that it puts emphasis on actual female friendships (and male friendships but mostly in Isak's season) which is something that I feel like we don't really see on media as much as we should. In addition, skam deals with very important issues regarding not only the main character of each season, but also the supporting characters of the show, which is great because we don't only get to see the main characters' character development, but their friends' also (in a smaller degree but we love to see it). And to conclude, through watching skam you don't only get good writing and characters and situations to relate with, you also get to learn a bit about Norwegian culture and school "traditions" in Norway (aka russ buss).

Skam has 4 seasons and each season follows a teenager from the Hartvig Nissen School in Oslo as they live their everyday lives. The main characters of each season are Eva (1), Noora (2), Isak (3) and Sana (4).
